013 Whiteout Review

Whiteout premieres and the world wonders whether it’ll be any good. Well wonder no longer friends. With Jordan on the cast and on the case, no topic is safe, no rock will go unturned through this odyssey of a review. No one is safe! I’m telling you! We got Brett Ratner on the table, gutted and he’s got nothing to even do with this film! We even start this episode with a bizarre story about a potbellied pig. I shit you not!

Greg Rucka wrote a really wicked graphic novel and this adaptation holds much promise. There are of course a number of concerns regarding choices made during production. The beautiful Kate Beckinsale is an interesting selection for the role of US Marshall Carrie Stetko, but if Charlize could make Monster, then Kate deserves her shot. We are also led by Gone In 60 Seconds and Swordfish director Dominic Sena who is certainly an interesting choice for a taught, “who dunit” mystery that takes place in Antarctica.

So if you’re thinking about whether or not to go see this flick, we’ll let you know all you need to know. In fact, we’ll tell you the highlights, what movies are better and even go as far as to theorize new conspiracies on Joel Silver‘s production methodology. It’s all true and if you doubt me, download me.
