If Vancouver has one convention truly worth going to, with a better cause behind it and no entry fee it would have to be the Vancouver Comic Arts Festival. Vancaf is a free comic-con for small press and independent comic creators that is in it’s fourth year and hosted at the Roundhouse Community Arts Centre in Vancouver on May 23rd and 24th. Today we have Shannon Campbell in the shop to tell us all about the show, why you should go, how it got started and where her own love of comics began. She will also shout out a couple of creators to keep an eye out for at the show this year. So if you love independent comics and want to support creators both local and ones brave enough to travel here then check out Vancaf’s various websites listed below.
