sorry to say but seen one, seen them all. 1st saw was the best, and it set the bar. Now everything sucks in my eyes. Does nothing for me anymore

Nine Dead is a severe Saw rip off. No sugar coating here. Now that could be a good thing, it could be a bad thing or it could be a great thing if you’re a hardcore Saw junkie. Nine Dead doesn’t have the budget to allow the production value you see on screen in a Saw movie or the inventive traps. Instead, we have one trap, one puzzle, nine people and some film makers that decided the easiest way to cut costs for their movie was having it all take place in one room. The Cube did the same thing, with Treed Murray and Saw all thinking the same way. The only problems with this movie are originality, budget and mediocrity. The performances are okay but you can only do so much with the script you’re given and you feal the actors trying but you also get the impression that they were likely only given one or two takes before it was time to move on.
Despite the lack luster results, one driving force behind the movie is the mystery and although you don’t care that much (and the end results are sure to be mediocre), you still want to see it through. So in the end, it entertains.
